Wildflower Wedding Inspiration: The Cottage Garden Suite

There’s something uniquely magical about wildflowers. Their bright, playful colors and organic imperfections lend themselves to a whimsical, carefree style thats’s perfect for rustic garden weddings (or even a more elegant event that needs a touch of whimsey!) I designed the Cottage Garden suite with that wildflower magic in mind.

The flowers featured in the suite - Oriental Poppies, Bearded Iris, Coreopsis and Hollyhocks - are all blooms that my mother carefully cultivated in her garden at out cottage in Northern Michigan (hence the name). When the bright red poppies and the deep purple iris all open up at the same time in the late spring - the garden is transformed by the stunning combination of colors. I wanted to turn that dramatic blend into a unique, whimsical wedding suite.
